Application Boot CampĀ® Post-Graduate Fellowship and Award Application Package Figuring out your options after graduation can be a daunting task, especially when you’re applying for a prestigious fellowship like the Rhodes, Marshall, Fulbright, Gates, or Rotary. Applicants must arrange to take a number of exams (GRE, GRE subject tests, LSAT, TOEFL, graduate entrance exams, etc.), solicit letters of recommendation, get transcripts, write personal statements/research proposals, and prepare for interviews all while working or attending class. What’s more, applications for scholarships like the Rhodes or Marshall are fraught with easy-to-miss fine print and often have strange submission requirements. The Rhodes, for example, requires 10 hard copies of your application and of your 5-9 letters of recommendation, 10 passport photos, and a formal letter of endorsement from your university. In the case of the Marshall, you can’t even submit your application until someone from your university logs on to their website and completes an online form endorsing you. The more programs or awards you’re applying for, the more confusing it gets.

But worry not; we can help! Our fellowship and award counselor is a Marshall finalist and 2008 Rhodes Scholar currently studying at Oxford. A winner of several academic prizes, including two large funding awards, he has loads of experience negotiating complicated applications and has helped a number of students through the process.

Whether you’re a sophomore just considering the possibilities after graduation or a senior bustling to prepare applications for a scholarship, fellowship, or funding award, our counselor will work with you to design and implement a personalized action plan. You will be guided through any or all stages of the process, from planning your academic and exam schedule to asking for recommendations, writing essays, completing application forms, and preparing for interviews.

The Application Boot CampĀ® Post-Graduate Fellowship and Award Application Package includes:

  • Initial phone assessment of your situation and drafting of an application “game plan” that fits your schedule. This includes scheduling and prepping for standardized tests, planning your course load, and planning your summer.
  • Help in identifying the “right” set of people to write your recommendations and tips on how to ask them, what information to provide them with, etc.
  • Ten hours of personal consultation via phone.
  • Brainstorming and crafting an essay that compliments the rest of your application and frames your personal story for selection committees.
  • Guidance in completing online and paper applications.
  • Comprehensive interview preparation, including several mock interviews.

While the ten hour package schedule is flexible, we recommend devoting 5 hours to preparing the essay, 2-3 hours to applications, and 2-3 hours to interview prep.
