Asking for Michele’s help is the best decision we ever made. We quickly realized sending your kids to the best private school is not enough. Michele gave us a lot of innovative ideas and strategies and she also found serious problems. We followed her specific directions that made our kids very time efficient and they started loving the things they do which I never saw before. As a result, our daughter got into one of the nation’s best colleges this year bypassing quite a few top students in her high school! It literally did work like magic! I read about Michele’s program when I had finished my Grade 9 year; I knew that from then on, school would “count.” Looking back, I have to give such an indescribable amount of credit to Michele for my early acceptance at Cornell University. The first thing that stands out for me in the experience is all of the stress she helped eliminate. Many of my friends spent the previous months debating with their parents the best way of doing things – with Michele, the right answer is only a phone call away. She is extremely supportive, brilliant, helpful, and knows exactly what she is doing. The amount of help she provided is unbelievable. My SAT scores were looking weak – she set me up with the world’s best coach to fix that (resulting in multiple 800s). I had no “hook” – she recommended a way to develop one of my unique interests so I could stand out. I won’t spoil it all… the list goes on and on. Our children are facing a college entrance process that is at once hypercompetitive and arbitrary. So often some of the best and the brightest kids get rejected from choice schools for no reason, and others end up in less desirable places because they make the wrong choices or they lack proper preparation. We chose to hire Michele early on in her high school years, to get her guidance in my daughter’s school academic schedules, summer work and activities, essays, journaling about important events in her life and to ease into the college selection and application process and intensity that inevitably hits in the junior year. We began looking at colleges a little earlier than most. Our trips were well planned and pleasurable, only visiting colleges that were within our selected parameters. We made mother daughter bonding trips and I will have these memories for the rest of my life. She fell in love with what is now her college and her enthusiasm showed in her interview in her second trip, which was properly scheduled to her advantage so there were few other students around and everyone was able to relax and get to know each other. She was enthusiastically introduced to everyone in admissions and they couldn’t have been nicer. We wouldn’t have done any of it this way without Michele.
My daughter got into her first choice college, early decision. It was a dream come true, especially when I look around me and see my friends pulling their hair out with their children who aren’t mature enough to understand the process, who want to “do it themselves,” write un-edited essays, apply to schools out of their reach, and don’t have the resume to justify an application among very heated competition. Others have less qualified college coaches who don’t provide the 360 degree advice that Michele brilliantly offers. I have recommended her to friends, who call me multiple times to thank me and sing her praises. Michele is brilliant at what she does. I cannot imagine anyone being better than she is.
